It only takes a little to make a BIG impact.
Your gift, of any amount, is a powerful vote of confidence for the future of Arts education at UCI.
Because of the many challenges surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the UCI Claire Trevor School of the Arts (CTSA) has experienced significant financial losses due to cancelled performances and programs. In the short time since March, CTSA has seen more than $45,000 in lost revenue which typically supports each department’s pedagogical and research programs. Without this earned revenue, our faculty are facing a daunting challenge to maintain budgets that are already strained to support their essential work.
With your help, CTSA can continue to foster a vibrant community of students committed to creative research in Art, Dance, Drama, and Music. Funds raised on Giving Day will provide vital operational support for programs that shape the next generation of creative leaders such as:
The Annual Fall Musical, which provides immersive learning experiences central to the pedagogical mission of Drama coursework.
Innovative MFA Thesis Exhibitions, a pivotal threshold for MFA students in the Department of Art.
Dance Visions, in which both graduate and undergraduate dancers work with choreographers in a professional dance setting at the Irvine Barclay Theatre.
Symphonic orchestra performances designed to prepare students for professional careers in music.
The art world is at a crossroads. We are ready to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead. But we need your support. As the leading campus in the nation providing access to all qualified students, no matter what their background, our students rely on the generous support of donors, like you.
Make sure to follow us on social media @CTSA_UCIRVINE. We will be sharing the impact LIVE on social media as we reach each challenge with a celebration from each department. Talk about seeing the BIG IMPACT! #UCIArtsAnywhere
Together—in just one day!—we can continue to give students these experiences and help inspire the next generation of citizen artists, because it only takes a little to make a BIG IMPACT!
About Claire Trevor School of the Arts
As UCI’s creative laboratory, the Claire Trevor School of the Arts explores and presents the arts as the essence of human experience and expression, through art forms ranging from the most traditional to the radically new. The international faculty works across a wide variety of disciplines, partnering with others across the campus. Nationally ranked programs in art, dance, drama and music begin with training but end in original invention. Students come to UCI to learn to be citizen-artists, to sharpen their skills and talents and to become the molders and leaders of world culture.
