School of Education

This Giving Day, the School of Education and UCI are confronted with challenges stemming from the outbreak of COVID-19. The pandemic has tested our resolve as a community, region and nation, but has also served as a reminder of the importance of education in our everyday lives. In the past few months, the School of Education has led the national conversation on ways to best support students, families and teachers during remote instruction.  Through a multitude of partnerships, programs and talented people, the School of Education is working to transform Orange County education, so that students of all backgrounds can thrive despite the challenging times. You can support the School of Education today through one of the following programs.

Scholarships for Promising Teachers: Scholarships help ease the financial burden for aspiring teacher candidates, many of whom make financial sacrifices and difficult life choices in order to fulfill their commitment to serving and improving the lives of young people. Our MAT + Credential program, a paragon in teacher preparation, is home to more than 100 students every year. With your support, these future teachers can enter the workforce with zero or reduced debt and begin their careers as educators, mentors and leaders of future generations.

Center for Educational Partnerships (CFEP): The CFEP is a robust center in the School of Education that creates collaborations to support preparation for, and success in, higher education. Through a multitude of programs, the CFEP helps local K-12 students, community college students looking to transfer, and UCI undergraduates of all disciplines. In 2019 alone, CFEP programs impacted more than 14,000 students, 3,200 teachers and 570 schools.

Dean’s Excellence Fund: The UCI School of Education is focused on advancing educational sciences and contributing to improved educational opportunities and outcomes for individuals of all backgrounds, across the entire lifespan. A diverse, dynamic and collaborative institution, the School of Education’s research, community partnerships, programming and people are dedicated to producing innovative scholarship, addressing the needs of local schools, and inspiring future generations of educators. With your support, the School of Education can continue on its mission of transforming Orange County education, so that everyone can achieve their American dream.
