Support for the UCI Libraries’ Growing for the Future Fund directly contributes to student success. It ensures we have the resources to provide emerging technologies and innovative learning spaces to meet the needs of the 21st century scholar.
WHY YOUR SUPPORT IS IMPORTANT
The UCI Libraries foster discovery and learning across the campus and within the community. The foundations of a traditional academic library – print resources, subject librarians, and collections – have been enhanced with flexible and technology-rich learning spaces combined with tools and services that support creativity and collaboration.
The UCI Libraries are a trendsetter in digital use and implementation of emerging technologies. They also level the playing field by providing students with free access to technologies such as laptops, iPads, and specialized software needed for their class assignments. In this digital age, the Libraries are using innovative services to digitize research materials, make research data and publications accessible to the world, and helps students, faculty, and researchers increase the impact of their research and scholarly communication. We need your support to continue implementing these innovative services and providing the resources to advance the educational and research goals of the entire UCI community.
