OLLI at UCI is a community of passionate lifelong learners who seek to engage our minds and enrich our lives through education. As a member-led organization of active knowledge seekers, our collective purpose is to create meaningful learning experiences and social growth opportunities for our diverse member community. Your contribution to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute today will support our ability to provide a lifelong learning program to intellectually curious, active adult members of our community who value education. All donations will be matched one-to-one by an anonymous donor, up to $1000.
With access to UCI’s world-class educators and local experts from a variety of industries, OLLI at UCI offers high-quality courses and special events that help our fellow members continuously grow and thrive. Whether it’s exploring the historic artists of Laguna Beach, examining the formation of stars and planetary systems, revisiting World War I, or examining English history through Shakespeare’s words, members can take advantage of course topics that cover a wide range of subject areas.
Outside the classroom, OLLI at UCI members also enjoy a variety of cultural excursions such as theater performances, visits to museums and other enriching activities.
As a nonprofit organization, OLLI at UCI relies on the voluntary contributions of our members to develop courses, organize activities, serve on various committees, and more. Members also act as course facilitators, assist with administrative tasks, and volunteer their time and ideas to help make us such a vital community resource.
Like many, OLLI at UCI is weathering the financial impact brought on by the pandemic. Our new online classes require more resources than ever, including technical support staff, programmers, and trainers to ensure the highest level of quality possible for our members during this time when we are unable to learn together in person.
Our financial reserves have been greatly depleted, but our commitment to our members has not wavered. Donate today to help OLLI at UCI in our continued efforts to:
