The Center for Excellence in Writing and Communication (Writing Center) promotes effective writing and communication as lifelong skills. Not only are these skills necessary for personal and professional success, they are also powerful ways in which people think through issues, consider multiple points of view, and become more consciously aware of the world around them.
The Writing Center provided more than 3000 hour-long individual consultations to undergraduates during the Fall 2017 quarter, including more than 1000 International students and nearly 1000 First Gen students. We offer personalized feedback on course assignments, scholarship and graduate school applications, resumes, and all other writing during students’ whole undergraduate careers.
