At the UCI Sue & Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center (SCRC), our dedicated scientists are breaking new ground and catalyzing discoveries that will impact future generations. Without research, advancements that have improved some lives and saved others may not have come to pass. 

Supporting the Stem Cell Research Center Challenge from Sid & Judy Golub is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness and support our expert team as they continue to provide new innovations to fight disease and repair injury. 

The Golubs came to UCI in 1994 when Sid was appointed as the campus executive vice-chancellor and child psychologist Judy became a faculty member in the UCI Department of Pediatrics, focused on support for hospitalized children and their families. Sid served UCI in many capacities, including director of the Stem Cell Research Center. He has always been a strong advocate for "seed" grant programs to nurture creative new studies in stem cell science. The Golubs are now retired but remain actively engaged with the UCI Sue & Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center.
