Support the Men’s Basketball program on UCI Giving Day!

In 2023-24, your Anteaters completed their eleventh-straight winning season under Coach Turner at 24-10 and earned another Big West Conference regular season title!

Over the summer, UC Irvine went to Taiwan to compete in the 42nd William Jones Cup to play the likes of Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Korea, Chinese Taipei-B, Iran, Chinese Taipei-A, and the Philippines over a nine-day span. The Anteaters went undefeated to win the gold medal, the first for the United States since 2006 and the first collegiate team to win the medal since 1983 when Hawai’i won. Crockrell II was named to the All-Tournament team and has the Tournament MVP.

With Giving Day upon us, the Anteaters need your support as we strive to continue to give our student-athletes a world-class experience that allows them to compete for and win championships. Men's Basketball History of Success

  • 2023 Big West Regular Season Champions
  • The Anteaters upset a nationally ranked opponent on the road for the second consecutive year, toppling No. 16 USC this season after No. 21 Oregon last season.
  • In a 10-year span, UC Irvine has won eight Big West championships
  • Two Big West Tournament Championship titles (2015, 2019)
  • UCI made its second NCAA Tournament appearance and won its first NCAA Tournament game in 2019
  • UCI has made seven postseason appearances under the helm of Russell Turner, advancing to the NIT in 2023
  • In 2022-23, UCI has earned its 13th 20-win season in program history, eighth under Turner
  • The Anteaters have 10-straight winning seasons
  • Coach Turner is the winningest coach in UCI history and fourth most in the Big West 
  • UC Irvine received votes in Associated Press Top 25 poll as well as being named the National Team of the Week by reporter Andy Katz and NCAA March Madness in 2022-23. 
  • UCI retired Scott Brooks jersey #12 in 2020 to honor the legendary player and NBA coach
  • Nine All-Americans
