Welcome to the Law Enforcement Officers (LEO) Alumni Chapter!
WHO WE ARE: The mission of our chapter is to provide an opportunity to bring together alumni, support and mentor UC Irvine students and inspire alumni and student interactions. The chapter also works on resumes, conducts career panels, offers scholarships and holds networking events among other events. The leadership team is eager to share our passion for this chapter so that we can all play an active role to work collaboratively with the UCI community and support its student body.

Anteater LEO partnered with the Irvine Police Department for an engaging department tour. Students learned about sworn and non-sworn career opportunities and gained insight into the department’s day-to-day operations. They also had the opportunity to meet Chief Michael Kent, a fellow Anteater, who shared his career journey and advice. The visit included a station tour, a close look at the department’s new Cybertruck, and concluded with pizza and an informal Q&A session with department members.
WHY SUPPORT CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIPS: Anteater LEO participates in offering UCI students book scholarships and the chapter has raised over $4,100! We hope everyone will consider a small donation to support our students. The donations in the past have helped our recipients ease the financial burden of book costs and offer a gesture of support from the alumni community.
See how alumni support has impacted our 2025 scholarship recipient, Eliana Assouline-Sampson:

Please help make a young Anteater's dream of a world-class education come true and give today. It's not how much you give - just THAT you give!

Anteater Leo hosted a comprehensive Career Preparation Workshop designed to equip students with the tools needed to pursue careers in law enforcement and public service. The event included a presentation outlining the application process for various agencies, along with guidance on preparing competitive materials. We were joined by guest speakers from the United States Secret Service, Orange County Probation Department, and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (Forensic Specialist), who shared insights into their roles and career pathways. Students also received individualized resume feedback and participated in mock interviews to build confidence and refine their professional skills.
