The UC Irvine Center for Student Wellness and Health Promotion is committed to advancing student well-being through prevention-based education, outreach and engagement. Our mission is to empower students to make informed decisions that support individual wellbeing and a healthy campus community. Our programs and services are comprehensive, inclusive and evidence-based to help students create balance and develop sustainable habits.
Last year alone, our programs engaged more than 16,900 students through workshops, events, peer education and wellness initiatives across campus. This Giving Day, we are raising funds to expand these student-centered programs that directly impact thousands of students each year.
Zot Wellness Fair
One of our largest campus-wide events, the Zot Wellness Fair, brings together students, campus partners and community organizations in a vibrant, welcoming space focused on holistic well-being. Through activities and peer-led education, students gain practical tools related to stress management, mental health, healthy relationships, sexual health, substance use education and self-care.
Giving Day gifts help allow us to enhance programming, increase student engagement, expand partnerships and ensure that even more students are introduced to campus wellness resources in an accessible and meaningful way.
Wellness Room
The Wellness Room is a peaceful space designed to help students relax, practice mindfulness and reduce stress. Amenities include massage chairs, meditation pillows, memory foam bean bag chairs, a tea station and self-guided wellness activities.
For many students, this space serves as a vital reset point during times of academic pressure. Giving Day support helps us maintain and enhance this welcoming environment with updated comfort materials and wellness resources.
Emotional Well-Being
Programs such as yoga, meditation and sound bath experiences create opportunities for students to build resilience, manage stress and develop lifelong coping strategies. These offerings foster connection and normalize conversations around emotional health.
Giving Day contributions allow us to expand these programs and meet the growing demand for prevention-based mental health support.
Peer Education Support
Our trained peer health educators deliver workshops, lead outreach initiatives and serve as trusted ambassadors for wellness across campus. This student-to-student model strengthens engagement and helps shape a culture of care at UC Irvine.
Giving Day gifts support our peer health staff training and professional development, investing not only in campus wellness today, but in the next generation of health leaders.
Every gift, no matter the size, directly strengthens our ability to create a campus where students feel supported, connected and empowered to thrive.
