UCI Giving Day 2020

The last couple of months have introduced countless hardships for UCI’s student population. If you are looking to give to the most pressing needs of UCI’s response to Covid19 you can find our emergency funds here.

Also, through a recent survey over 12% of students have told us that they may not return in fall due to economic hardships and that as traditional campus work study jobs such as catering will not be available there is a deficit of up to 10,000 positions to offer our students. The Division of Undergraduate Education is able to take on over 500 remote work study jobs such as peer advisors to help. If you are interested in being a part of our solution to this pressing need please consider a donation to the Dean’s Excellence Fund.

Help Give Summer Research Scholarships this Summer

As we attempt to recover from a global pandemic, our students are looking forward. For many of our students, exploring the world of undergraduate research opens a world of future possibilities and we are dedicated to continue this opportunity in a safe way for students this summer. 

For over 25 years, the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) has partnered with businesses and the local community to supplement our students’ education and produce qualified, career-ready, and well-rounded leaders. Over the last few years, we have offered the summer research program as a unique endeavor for students to continue their research in lieu of a traditional summer job. To offer them the financial support that they need during this pandemic and economic climate, UROP is on a mission to double that award to $3,000 and take a financial burden off their shoulders. Right now, this additional financial security will be the difference for our students. 

Today, join us in raising scholarship funds for these summer researchers. A generous donor will make a $5,000 gift if we raise 50 gifts for UROP. As we stand with our students, your support truly makes a difference. We know that not everyone is in a position to make a gift and your support is as valuable as those who can.
