The past three months have subjected UCI’s student population to a diverse set of challenges. From unemployment to increasing familial pressures to a lack of academic resources, many of our students have faced incredible hardship in their pursuit of a college education. UCI’s Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE) worked tirelessly to offer students various opportunities and resources to support their success during this time.

Also, through a recent survey over 12% of students have told us that they may not return in fall due to economic hardships and that as traditional campus work study jobs such as catering will not be available there is a deficit of up to 10,000 positions to offer our students. The Division of Undergraduate Education is able to take on over 500 remote work study jobs such as peer advisors to help.
