CalTeach Science & Mathematics Program

The UCI CalTeach program provides undergraduate science and math students with the opportunity to earn a teaching credential alongside their bachelor’s degree. The CalTeach program has existed on UCI’s campus since 2008, with the first cohort graduating in 2012. More than 100 math and science students have graduated from the CalTeach program, all of them ready to enter the classroom as teachers to educate and inspire future generations.

Your donation today will allow our pool of diverse students the support they need to complete their teaching credential requirements while earning their bachelor’s degree. Your support will help fund:

  • Transportation costs to school sites for fieldwork and student teaching experiences (CalTeach provides over 700 hours of hands-on classroom experience)
  • The additional testing fees that come with earning a teaching credential (CSET, CBEST and edTPA exams)
  • A better pipeline for transfer students to participate in the CalTeach program
  • Tutoring services to help our students handle the academic rigor of the math and science majors at UCI

Thank you in advance for helping prepare our students to be future math and science educators!
