Latino Excellence and Achievement Dinner (LEAD)
Your support for the annual Latino Excellence and Achievement Dinner (LEAD) will impact the future of graduate education at UCI. The mission of LEAD is to
- Celebrate research excellence and achievement across all schools on the UCI campus
- Recognize faculty, staff, and alumni who provide encouragement and support for Latino community success
- Create a sense of community and institutional memory of academic and professional achievement in the UCI Latino community.
LEAD is the only gala in the UC system focused on Latino graduate student success. This year, we recognized 13 graduate student awardees and 5 distinguished faculty, staff and alumni. Among the over 350 guests were Chancellor Howard Gillman, senior campus leadership, and federal and state political representatives.
Next year, LEAD will be held on April 2, 2020. Your contribution will support this unique UCI tradition.
