BioSci’s Giving Day is for those who matter most: Our Amazing Students!  

Help us raise $6,500 which will go directly to student support in three special ways.

Biology touches everyone’s life and here in the UCI School of Biological Sciences, we believe that there is nothing more important than the study of life. COVID-19 has reinforced the significance of biology, and our students will be the ones who will solve the biological challenges of tomorrow. 

Today, we ask you to support our students who work every day to ensure a Brilliant Future for generations to come by giving to one or more of these options:  

BioSci Undergraduate Scholarships Fund | Goal: $2,500 in scholarship awards to 5 students

80% of UCI undergraduates receive some form of financial aid. The uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic emphasized the importance of ensuring financial stability for our students. Your gift to Undergraduate Scholarships provides vital funds to accomplish this purpose. Support the next generation of biologists who seek to address the world’s most pressing concerns. 

BioSci Graduate Fellowships Fund | Goal: $2,500 in fellowship awards to 5 students

Our graduate students are at the forefront of groundbreaking discoveries that will improve lives and address future challenges before they surface. These scholars embody the ultimate purpose behind their research: to help others. By giving to Graduate Fellowships, you recognize the value of this research and the broader goal of improving lives. 

BioSci Dean’s Excellence Fund | Goal: $1,500 in Learning and Academic Resource tutoring awards for 12 undergraduate EASE Initiative students 

Your gift to the Dean’s Excellence Fund provides a flexible source of funds for high-priority areas, including the EASE Initiative that pairs first-year BioSci students with peer tutors and mentors so that every student can fulfill their academic goals and become the next generation of scientists, medical professionals, and entrepreneurs.
