Welcome to the UCI Armenian American Alumni Chapter. Our chapter was founded just before Covid-19 rattled the planet. Throughout the pandemic we engaged with our alumni community via virtual events and our social media platforms and our supporters grew!
The UCI Armenian American Alumni Chapter has a deep commitment of collaboration within the UCI community. Over the last 4 years we developed strong relationships with our vibrant UCI Armenian Student Association (ASA), our esteemed Armenian UCI professors and the Armenian American Anteater community through both live and virtual programs. We strive to build bridges within our community and nurture our relationships with all UCI Alumni chapters! We were honored as the “Most Collaborative Chapter” by the UCI Alumni Association in 2021.
On Giving Day 2023, we hope to increase the number of book scholarships for our first year and transfer students. Awarding $500 scholarships to these eligible students is a source of pride for our alumni chapter and a huge part of our mission as a chapter. Created with donations from alumni supporters and UCI friends, book scholarships provide financial security and the opportunity to connect with the growing UCI Armenian American network.
Thanks to all our donors in 2021, we awarded 2 book scholarships to Eric Minassian and Valerie Alexanian. In 2022 we partnered with the UCI ASA who contributed $1000 on Giving Day. This generous collaboration allowed us to award 4 book scholarships to Mary Javaherian, Miranda Cepkinian, Lily Franklin and Houri Partamian.
Watch our videos featuring messages from Valerie, Mary, Miranda and Lily to hear how these scholarships have benefited them!
This Giving Day, help us provide book scholarships for more of our deserving Anteaters! Show your support for UCI scholars and contribute. Any amount is appreciated and directly benefits UCI undergraduates in their academic journey!
Thanks so much!
