Our 7th Giving Day was a tremendous success! If you missed your opportunity to give, you can still show your UCI pride and give by clicking here
Urology

Through excellence and leadership in patient care, education and research, UCI Urology provides its patients with the absolute best in innovative, less invasive urological care; its residents with a superb curriculum based on educational and operative training experience; and its faculty with every opportunity to excel clinically while teaching and pursuing research both a basic and clinical nature.

The department wishes to build upon these priorities that most commonly affect the varied patient base it serves. This Giving Day, we are committed to delivering results for:

RESIDENT INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL

The UCI Urology Resident International Travel program began in 2018 with a goal to provide each participating medical resident with a one-week international travel mission trip without taking on any additional financial burden. During these trips, UCI Urology residents and staff work side by side with urologists in their home countries to treat patients and learn new surgical techniques. Recent trips have included Dakar, Senegal and Mozambique.

Through the generosity of friends, family and grateful patients, Dr. Heidi Stephany has committed to building an endowment to generate annual income so UCI Urology residents can travel cost-free, donating only their time, to do this life-altering international work.

Through your gift to the Margaret Eskola Endowed Resident International Travel Fund, UCI Urology residents will have the resources to expand their horizons and apply their knowledge to benefit patients in countries all over the world.

CURIOSITY & INNOVATION

Our commitment to the development of truly unconventional ideas and less invasive and noninvasive surgery is unwavering. Despite the challenges spurred by decreased federal funding and the changing landscape of healthcare, we are accelerating our rate of innovation. The most important source of funding in recent years has been you, our community. The generosity of grateful patients and visionary benefactors has empowered our team to continuously pursue innovation.

Support the development of truly unconventional ideas in less invasive and non-invasive surgical techniques by making a gift to the Curiosity and Innovation Fund this Giving Day!

MEN’S HEALTH

At UCI Health, we have created a vision for a healthier community. The Comprehensive Men’s Health Initiative will be housed in a unique space where the men of Orange County (and beyond) can receive unparalleled state-of-the-art, comprehensive multidisciplinary care.

This unique initiative focuses on the four P’s: a Place where men feel comfortable coming to see their physicians; Personalized integrative care, providing a comprehensive experience; a Prostate cancer center built on the international reputation of Dr. Thomas Ahlering; and Prevention as a central theme.

With your support on UCI Giving Day, you can help positively impact millions across Orange County, maybe even members of your own family, or even you.
