Aldrich Park is a much beloved 16-acre outdoor area with rolling hills, expansive lawns and many varieties of trees near the center of our campus. At almost 60 years old, the park needs a major “refresh”. This will include making the park more accessible to all while maintaining the beauty that the university community has always enjoyed.
New garden collections will be added to the park and adjoining areas of the campus, including Ring Mall, academic malls and plazas, greenbelts, and campus linkages. Plants from different regions of the world will be a major feature of these new gardens.
Park enhancements will allow students, faculty, staff, and community members to spend contemplative and social moments outdoors, enrich research opportunities and continue the tradition of Aldrich Park as a connection point for people and nature. The "Friends of Aldrich Park" support group will help support the many enhancements that we envision.
Please join TODAY by becoming a Charter Member of "Friends of Aldrich Park.” Donors who give $1,000 or more during Giving Day 2023 will be recognized as Charter Members of the "Friends of Aldrich Park" on our Donor Recognition Plaque to be located permanently in the park.
