If you missed the opportunity to participate in Giving Day, it’s not too late to support Genetic Counseling! You may make a gift anytime using our general online giving form: https://secure.give.uci.edu/?s=graduate+program+in+genetic+Counseling
You can shape the way tomorrow’s genetic counselors will deliver care by making a gift to the Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling at the UCI School of Medicine today.
We are proud to be one of the pioneers in genetic counselor education in the United States. Our program began in 1973 at a time when only five other institutions in the nation offered a master's degree in genetic counseling. UCI's first class of three genetic counseling students graduated in 1975. Today, we now have more than 200 graduates and are celebrating the program’s 50th anniversary.
The Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling is committed to equipping our students with a deep and practical understanding of how to use their counseling skills to support families while also accessing the latest information and technology. Our students' skill development is enhanced by the opportunity to work with patients of diverse backgrounds.
We hope you will consider joining us in celebrating 50 years of success by making a gift in support of our program on Giving Day. A gift of any size matters! You can directly impact the future of the genetic counseling profession by helping a new generation of counselors receive the best training to launch their own promising careers.
Now, more than ever, it is important to keep our program fluid and reactive in this rapidly evolving healthcare environment. We invite you to advance the achievements of our students, the quality of our curriculum and the downstream impact on patient care through a gift to the Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling.
