UCI Health colorectal surgeons are pioneers in laparoscopic and robot-assisted colorectal procedures, which reduce pain, blood loss and recovery time, as well as help patients preserve normal function and avoid colostomy bags.
This Giving Day, our goal is to raise funds that will help us hire a clinical research coordinator dedicated to the Division of Colon & Rectal Surgery within the UCI School of Medicine. This new member of our team will consent patients for clinical trials, coordinate grants and advance research to improve the lives of people living with colon cancer, rectal cancer, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis or other conditions of the lower gastrointestinal system.
