UC Irvine Giving Day 2025

2024 Highlights

• UC Irvine women’s outdoor track & field had their best conference finish in 28 years with a runner-up showing at the 2024 Big West Championships. Jolie Robinson defended her title in the heptathlon and was named the Field Athlete of the Meet for the second year in a row. Kailah McKenzie was tabbed the Big West Freshman of the Year after winning the high jump and earning all-conference honors with a third-place finish in the long jump.

• The Anteater men won three of the four throwing events at the 2024 Big West Championships. Liam Miksic claimed his second-straight conference title in the javelin. Jacob Hawkins was also the discus champion, while Justin Willingham finished first in the shot put. Josh Farmer added a Big West individual title and his third career All-America award in the decathlon.

• UC Irvine had seven student-athletes produce nine NCAA West First Round qualifying marks in 2024.

• Anna Vogtmann broke her own 6K school record in a runner-up finish at the Big West Cross Country Championships. Vogtmann earned her second career All-Big West award and was twice named the Big West Athlete of the Week during the 2024 season.

• Juan Chantaca received his first career Big West Athlete of the Week nod and ran the third-fastest 8K in program history in 2024.
