UCI Staff Assembly is dedicated to promoting the interests of all UCI staff. We do this by bolstering communications between staff and the administration, providing input to the decision-making process on issues affecting staff and the university, and supporting and developing activities which serve UCI staff, the community and the university. All career staff are automatically members of UCI Staff Assembly, and a volunteer council meets monthly to advance our goals.
One goal is to support and manage the Mike Puritz Staff Assembly Career Enhancement Scholarship Program. Named for a 19-year volunteer who continues to support the Staff Assembly even in retirement, this scholarship fund helps UCI career staff employees continue to impact their career and UCI by furthering their educational goals, whether in pursuit of an academic degree, continuing education courses, workshops, webinars, conferences or other classes.
