The UC Irvine ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) is an Army leadership and field training program that prepares undergraduate students to be commissioned as 2nd Lieutenants in the United States Army while simultaneously earning their degrees. The skills, knowledge, and training Army ROTC Cadets gain prepare them to serve as future warrior leaders, where they have access to a diverse range of Army careers.
The UC Irvine Army ROTC teaches students leadership, discipline, and teamwork, all while supporting students as they pursue their academic goals. This Giving Day, all gifts given to the UC Irvine Army ROTC will support the following:
- Advanced training equipment and technology for hands-on learning to prepare Cadets for their future careers in the U.S. Army.
- Scholarships to support Cadets who excel in physical fitness and perform outstandingly in STEM.
- Leadership development workshops, such as staff rides, allow Cadets to visit historical battlefields.
- Community outreach programs that strengthen civic engagement, such as leadership seminars from experienced combat veterans and community partners.
- Traditional military ceremonies such as military balls and commissioning ceremonies, honor Cadet achievements.
