HBCU ACCESS TO CAREERS IN ENGINEERING AND SCIENCES (ACES) UNDERGRADUATE SUMMER TRAINING PROGRAM
 
The UC Irvine Beckman Laser Institute & Medical Clinic’s historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) Access to Career in Engineering and Sciences (ACES) program is an impactful initiative aimed at increasing HBCU student involvement in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) graduate programs.

This transformative eight-week summer training program provides high-achieving undergraduate students with invaluable:

• Hands-on cutting-edge research opportunities.
• Mentorship from esteemed faculty and graduate students.
• Insight into academic and industry careers.
• Workshops for graduate school preparation.

ACES not only introduces students to the diverse graduate offerings at UC Irvine but also equips participants with the skills and experience needed to become future leaders in STEM fields.
