In 2024-25, your Anteaters completed their 12th-straight winning season under Coach Turner at 32-7 and advanced to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT)!
UC Irvine started the year with nine consecutive wins, matching the program's best start since the 1981-82 season. The Anteater rose to the top of the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll and received votes in both the Associated Press (AP) and USA Today Coaches polls. The entire starting lineup was honored by the Big West as guard Jurian Dixon was named the Big West Freshman of the Year while Bent Leuchten was selected to the first team, Devin Tillis on the second team and Justin Hohn and Myles Che as honorable mentions.

Men's Basketball History of Success
- Men’s basketball advanced to the championship game of the NIT, winning a school record 32 games. The Anteaters had the 11th best winning percentage in the country, only Florida, Houston and Duke had more wins than UC Irvine.
- The Anteaters received votes in the national polls this season and have been ranked among the country’s top 10 in defensive rebounds per game (3rd), free throw percentage (5th), and field goal percentage defense (10th)
- UC Irvine won a school record 32 games in 2024-25 and it was just the second time the program has hit the 30-win mark
- The Anteaters lead the nation with 14 true wins away from home for a 14-3 road record (0.824)
- Center Bent Leuchten, who is one of the nation’s best in double-doubles, holds the single season records in both free throws made (213) and rebounds (354)
- Forward Devin Tillis placed top 10 in career rebounds with 703 and finished fifth in the single season ranks (296)
- Guard Justin Hohn finished the year ranked fifth in both the career made three-pointers (207) and career steals (152) ladders
- Hohn, Leuchten, and Tillis all hit the 1,000-career point milestone in 2024-25
- Forward Ofure Ujadughele set the program and Big West record in career games played (159)
- Leuchten is a Lou Henson Award finalist and Tillis is a Nolan Richardson Award finalist. Leuchten and Tillis were also honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) with Leuchten named to the Pacific District First Team while Tillis placed on the Second Team
- In a 11-year span, UC Irvine has won nine Big West championships
- Two Big West Tournament Championship titles (2015, 2019)
- UC Irvine made its second NCAA Tournament appearance and won its first NCAA Tournament game in 2019
- UC Irvine has made nine postseason appearances under the helm of Russell Turner, advancing to the NIT the last three seasons
- Coach Turner is the winningest coach in UC Irvine history and third most in the Big West (321)
- In 2023-24, UC Irvine was one of nine teams in the country to have finished the season with a winning record in conference in play in each of the last 12 seasons and is the only California school on that list
- The Anteaters have 12-straight winning seasons
- UC Irvine retired Scott Brooks jersey #12 in 2020 to honor the legendary player and NBA coach
