UC Irvine Giving Day

The Student Philanthropy Committee is proud to be part of the Anteaters Give Back campaign, UC Irvine’s new student philanthropy campaign that fundraises annually for a single project or initiative chosen by students, for students. This evolved model goes beyond the traditional “Senior Class Gift” to an initiative that invites all students, undergraduate and graduate alike, to make a collective impact on our campus community.

Each year, we’ll come together as Anteaters to support impactful projects that directly benefit the UC Irvine community, with the goal of making a collective difference that will have a lasting impact. This new initiative is designed to create a culture of giving across our campus, allowing every Anteater to engage in philanthropy throughout your academic journey, so you can make an impact on campus before graduation.

Through the Anteaters Give Back campaign, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of student philanthropy. This initiative is not about the size of the donation, but about the act of giving itself – because small contributions can make a big difference when we all come together.

By supporting this project, you’re not only helping to provide a much-needed resource for our campus but also building a lasting culture of student philanthropy at UC Irvine.

You voted, and your voices have been heard! This year, our campaign is focused on supporting Student Scholarships!

Every Anteater is working towards an important goal as we move through our university experience, and whether in a few months or years, the knowledge and experiences we gain at UC Irvine will prepare us to engage effectively, professionally and responsibly in our careers and our communities. Unfortunately, there are barriers that limit some student's ability to gain access to the world-class and innovative educational opportunities provided by UC Irvine. We can help change that by coming together to help provide students of all backgrounds with the means to step into their potential right alongside us as our fellow Anteaters.

UC Irvine is dedicated to helping every student fund their college education, and by raising $20,000, we aim to provide crucial support towards this goal.

By making a gift of any size today, you are supporting a fellow Anteater who is trying to begin or complete their journey at UC Irvine. Throughout the years, the UC Irvine class gift program has supported many noble efforts across campus. Sometimes, these gifts have been overseen by an individual school to fundraise for the benefit of those students alone. But the majority of class gifts have gone towards initiatives that benefit all Anteaters.

Like many other areas of campus life, the 2020 pandemic made it difficult to maintain the momentum of the former class gift programs. Which is why we are so excited to bring back this philanthropic opportunity to all Anteaters with a fresh take!
