Investing in UCI students for more than 50 Years
Dear Chancellor’s Club members,
I'm delighted to take part in Giving Day 2024, a moment that allows me to reflect on my own journey as a first-generation student and appreciate the university's unwavering dedication to supporting its community through challenging times. Education, irrespective of the field, holds the power to alter destinies and bridge the gap between dreams and reality for individuals from all walks of life.
For over five decades, the Chancellor's Club has stood as a beacon of hope and support for the UC Irvine student body, dedicating itself to identifying and fulfilling the most pressing needs of our students. This year, we renew our commitment to fostering an inclusive academic environment by supporting first-generation students pursuing advanced degrees, thereby enhancing campus diversity and equity.
Our goal for Giving Day 2024 is ambitious yet vital: to secure $50,000 which would significantly increase our support for student fellowships in the Graduate Division. With your help, we can offer at least three more students the financial backing they need to complete their studies without the burden of financial stress.
The Chancellor's Club Fellowship awardees—Lindsey Soles, Karem Delgado, and Jesus Enrique Lopez Vargas—radiate gratitude for the support that empowers their aspirations, captured during the 2023 Chancellor’s Club Spring Update.
Your participation and generosity can make this Giving Day a landmark event for UC Irvine, reinforcing our collective legacy of shaping future leaders and innovators. Together, we can ensure that every Anteater has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to a brighter, more inclusive future.
Thank you for considering a gift to the Chancellor’s Club on this Giving Day. Your support is not just a donation; it's an investment in the brilliant future of our students and society.
Sincerely,
