Today, we are seeking your support to help the Libraries continue to transform our learning spaces to support students across campus.
Across our four locations, the UCI Libraries provide students with many options to meet their study needs. Recent renovations in our buildings have brought in new modular and portable furniture that can adapt to group sizes and needs.
Our reservable study rooms are great for groups who need space for focused collaboration. The Science Library even has an active study area with treadmills and stationary bike desks, thanks to your support on Giving Day in 2019.
The Libraries’ newest option to meet students’ study needs – SOLO STUDY PODS – have proven extremely popular. These reservable, soundproof booths are perfect for students who need a quiet, independent space. The study pods can be used for online classes, job interviews, or focused study without distractions.
Last summer two study pods were added to the first floor at Langson Library, and they have been a huge hit. Due to their popularity, reservations for the study pods have been fully booked during midterms and finals periods.

Students are asking for more study pods. They want study pods added to the Science Library.
The students have spoken, and we have listened. But we need YOUR help to meet this growing demand for additional study pods.
Large or small, your gift will make a big impact, especially when you participate in one of our giving matches or challenges. Each time we complete a match or challenge, more dollars are unlocked to help us reach buy more study pods for our spaces.
