The Henry Samueli School of Engineering

Every day we make decisions about what activities to support, how to spend our time and energy, and how to project our mission to the outside world. Engineering+, or e+, is the overarching theme under which the strategic plan is organized and how we see ourselves in a rapidly evolving world. E+ is centered around three main pillars: Educational Journeys, Collaborative Research and Meaningful Partnerships. These pillars were identified as the best way of talking about who we are and how we want to be known.

Our ambition is that the Samueli School of Engineering will become one of the preeminent institutions in the world dedicated to the creation of knowledge that protects and enhances the health of our planet and its people. But that requires that the dean has the ability to invest in and seed new initiatives and projects.

I hope you will join the School to support the idea of impact, where we develop technological solutions that enhance the human experience, i.e., that make us healthier, more productive, more creative, more equal, and more connected. Help us play a role in what is happening now and in the future at the UCI Samueli School of Engineering.

Best,

Magnus Egerstedt, Ph.D.
