Baseball Program History of Success
- UCI went 37-18 in 2023. The Anteaters went 10-2 vs. Power 5 opponents, including 8-1 vs. Pac-12
- Last season, the Anteaters finished No. 1 in college baseball with the best road winning percentage at 19-6. UCI led the nation in sacrifice flies with 52 and set program records for runs (445), walks (304) and home runs (53).
- Anthony Martinez, who was the Big West batting champ at .394, was named All-American and All-West Region as well to Big West Freshman Field Player of the Year.
- Caden Kendle garnered All-West Region accolades after being named Big West Field Player of the Year.
- 15 program alums played in every level of professional baseball during the 2023 season. 11 Anteater pros have reached the Major Leagues all-time including four that are currently active
- Andre Pallante played with Team Italy as a pitcher in the 2023 World Baseball Classic helping them reach the quarterfinals
- Two College World Series appearances in 2007 and 2014
- Big West regular season champions, including 2021
- 9 NCAA Tournament appearances since 2002
- 102 players have been drafted or signed to free agent deals since 2002 including 23 under coach Orloff
