We are the UCI CubeSat team, a group of students from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) striving to be the first student launch at UCI, creating a standard for future student launches and orbital research at UCI. Our focus is on the development of AntSat 01, a 2U nanosatellite, and its payload, the experimental variable emissivity device (VED), in collaboration with our sister team Space Thermal Management Systems (STMS).
Our overarching mission is to create opportunities for UCI students to actively participate in the development of a CubeSat to gain practical experience in engineering. Through our work on AntSat 01 we aim to provide an orbital platform for research endeavors, fostering a passion for space-related fields among students. We strive to inspire the next generation of engineers and space enthusiasts while promoting values such as integrity, respect, innovation, and excellence.
Financial support is crucial for the success of our mission. Funds will enable us to cover various expenses associated with the development, testing, and launch of AntSat 01.
Specific ways in which your Giving Day gift can contribute to our goals include:
By supporting us financially, donors play a crucial role in empowering students to actively engage in aerospace engineering, fostering a passion for space-related fields, and ultimately contributing to the success of our mission. Gifts provide the necessary resources to overcome financial barriers and ensure that UCI CubeSat continues to be a driving force in promoting education and hands-on experience in the aerospace industry.
