April is Autism Awareness month! Nationally, autism affects one out of 36 children. As the numbers in our community continues to grow, we at The Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders (CAND) provide hope and help to children, teens, young adults, adolescents, and their families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders through excellent clinical care, valuable research, quality education and training, and community engagement.
We are raising funds for our Reach Out and Read (ROR) program. This program champions the positive effects of reading daily and engaging in other language-rich activities with young children through evidence-based intervention. This practice encourages positive parent/children’s interactions, and supports early brain development through a focus on sharing books during medical visits. For more information about our Reach Out and Read Program, please visit: https://www.thecenter4autism.org/about-us-overview/reach-out-and-read-partnership/
We invite you to partner with us in building a library of diverse books and making reading a priority for our children. In doing so, we will be a vital resource for our families, allowing them access to books to build personal libraries in their very own homes.
This Giving Day, an anonymous donor will generously match each donation, dollar for dollar, up to $1,000.
Join us in celebrating Autism Awareness Month by making a gift today! Your contribution will make a lasting impact through the gift of literacy.
