Be one of the first 25 gifts to unlock $8,300 in support of training opportunities for first-generation and underserved students!
As a leading research and educational university, UC Irvine is committed to serving a diverse population at the highest standards. This includes attracting and graduating scholars who mirror the global communities we serve.
The Sue & Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center (SCRC) is committed to opening career pathways for first-generation and underserved students pursuing careers in public health and regenerative medicine by providing training opportunities supported by internal and external funding.
Seeing firsthand the incredible value undergraduate training programs bring to our students, several of our SCRC faculty members and friends have committed their support to create a Giving Day challenge.

- learn about careers in academia and industry
- attend workshops on taking the Graduate Records Exam (GRE), writing a personal statement, and preparing for graduate school
- make connections valuable to gaining admission to graduate school
