Today is an exciting opportunity for Anteaters to celebrate our winning traditions and invest in our future. For over 50 years, UCI student-athletes have proudly represented their university. Our Anteater student-athletes have won 28 National Championships and 126 Conference Championships, and consist of 589 All-American honorees, 73 Olympic participants and over 4,000 Scholar-Athletes. As we strive to build upon these accomplishments, it is our goal to elevate UC Irvine Athletics to further national prominence.
During the 2022-23 season, the Anteaters claimed four Big West regular season titles, two Big West Championship wins and had two NCAA appearances. Four teams would end the year ranked nationally and 12 Anteater student-athletes would garner All-American honors.
UCI kept the success rolling into the Fall, capturing three Big West titles in a span of 15 days. Men’s and women’s soccer and men’s water polo all made NCAA appearances with women’s soccer advancing to the Sweet 16 for the second time in three years.
