Anteaters in the Arts is proud to support the Arts and Humanities through the following initiatives. 

School of Humanities Film and Media Studies Fund

The School of Humanities (SOH) Department of Film and Media Studies provides students with a strong liberal arts background by combining history, theory, and practice, giving our majors the tools necessary to navigate the complex film, television, and digital media landscape.

To enhance our focus on nurturing our students’ diverse backgrounds, experiences, and potential, we seek to supplement their foundational liberal arts education on campus by increasing access to key career-building internships beyond the classroom.

Internships are a great way for our students to earn career experience, make professional contacts, and help demystify the industry. However, most internships in the film industry are unpaid, and many of our students cannot afford to accept unpaid positions. Your support would help make professional internships more equitable and attainable

CTSA Dean's Excellence Fund

The Dean’s Excellence Fund is unique in that its funds can be directed toward areas of the School with greatest need, or toward special projects which may arise suddenly, offering special opportunities for research and art production. Your contribution enables us to enhance the acknowledged excellence of our academic and technical training as well as our explorations of innovative artwork. Projects supported may include productions, exhibitions, master classes, or other creative and educational opportunities; in addition, gifts like yours enable us to offer scholarships to talented young artists with financial need

ANTEATERS IN THE ARTS CHAPTER

The purpose of the Anteaters in the Arts Chapter is to enrich the lives of UCI Alumni that are associated or interested in all forms of artistic expression, creation, appreciation, and the support of it.  We also engage alumni in the advancement of UC Irvine and the creation of new connections and relationships that deliver lifelong value. 

Our chapter supports students in the School of Humanities (SOH) and the Claire Trevor School of the Art (CTSA). So join us and be a part of our passionate support of art scholars and practitioners at both these outstanding schools.
