Aldrich Park is a much beloved 16-acre park with rolling hills, expansive lawns and more than 53 varieties of trees. Eucalyptus and pine trees are the dominant species.
The garden collections will include adjoining areas of the campus, including Ring Mall, academic malls and plazas, greenbelts and campus linkages. The first five of these gardens will be built in Aldrich Park beginning in late 2022. Plants from different regions of the world will be a major feature of the botanical gardens.
Upcoming enhancements will allow students, faculty, staff and community members to enjoy the park, spend contemplative and social moments, and appreciate nature in a way not yet experienced in the history of Aldrich Park.
"Friends of Aldrich Park" will help support the new botanical gardens that we envision. They will recognize and reflect the unique human and biological heritage of our region through the stewardship of healthy and resilient ecosystems. Please join by becoming a Founding Member of "Friends of Aldrich Park.” Donors who give $1,000 or more during Giving Day 2022 will be recognized as Charter Members of the "Friends of Aldrich Park" on our Donor Recognition Plaque.
