50 Gifts to unlock $50,000: Stem Cell Research Center Seed Grant Challenge

At the UCI Sue & Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center, our dedicated scientists are breaking new ground and catalyzing discoveries that will impact future generations. Without research, advancements that have improved some lives and saved others may not have come to pass.

Today's international crisis is a powerful example of how important it is for us to come together as a community to make collective impacts against current and future health challenges. Unlocking the potential of stem cells to treat and cure diseases and disorders could make life better for millions of people worldwide. But, without adequate funding for promising research, we risk leaving lives behind.

Our Seed Grant Program addresses this issue by providing modest grants at the early stages of innovative work. These grants, ranging in size from $25,000-$35,000 each, enable our scientists to initiate bold research, test new ideas, and explore novel therapeutic and diagnostic strategies to improve human health. Seed grants give recipients freedom to take the types of calculated risks that may lead to medical breakthroughs.

Your partnership is vital to our success. Truly, our work would not be possible without individuals like you. Individuals that are continuously thinking of others, especially at a time that is unprecedented for all of us.

Please consider a gift of any size to help us unlock $50,000 from a generous benefactor! 100% of funds received will support research through our Seed Grant Program.
