Anteaters in the Arts is proud to support the Arts and Humanities through the following initiatives.

DEAN'S HUMANITIES EXCELLENCE FUND

UCI’s School of Humanities stands at the core of higher education. The humanities teach our students to think critically, communicate effectively, engage in conversations about ideas that matter, and find solutions to humanity’s grand challenges.  

We provide students with foundational skills, both in the classroom and beyond campus, which prepare them for life after college. In our classrooms, students grow as thinkers and scholars, while learning experiences beyond the classroom take students to the next level. We offer humanities students life-changing opportunities to do internships and mentored research, to study abroad, to experience workshops and training in professionally valuable skills, and to engage in conversations with leaders, creators, and scholars. 

CTSA DEAN’S SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Claire Trevor School of the Arts (CTSA) Dean’s Scholarship Fund serves students in Art, Dance, Drama, and Music with $500 mini-scholarships. Ensuring our talented students are supported is vital to the resilience of the arts at UCI.

These mini-scholarships assist with the smaller—and often unsung—costs of an arts education at UCI, which include:

• Laboratory fees for studio classes
• Required private vocal and instrumental music instruction
• Textbooks for arts and general education classes
• Basic needs like groceries, rent, or personal necessities, which are crucial for studying and performing
• Materials and equipment for required course projects and independent work

ANTEATERS IN THE ARTS CHAPTER

The purpose of the Anteaters in the Arts Chapter is to enrich the lives of UCI Alumni that are associated or interested in all forms of artistic expression, creation, appreciation, and the support of it.  We also engage alumni in the advancement of UC Irvine and the creation of new connections and relationships that deliver lifelong value. 

Our chapter supports students in the School of Humanities (SOH) and the Claire Trevor School of the Art (CTSA). So join us and be a part of our passionate support of art scholars and practitioners at both these outstanding schools.
